My name is Richard Ruiz, and my favorite phonetic pronunciation is "RIH-churd roo-EES". So many people often mispronounce my last name as "Ruez" or phonetically "roo-EZ.
MATLAB Help File: Loma Prieta Earthquake
My favorite section was the "Loma Prieta Earthquake". It is a study done by a group of scientists at UC Santa Cruz of the earthquake Loma Prieta in Santa Cruz. It is my favorite because the data analysis shows result in three different vectors: east-west, north-south, and vertical. The resulting 3-D data plot showed the positions at every interval in 3-D.
