About Me

I am currently an undergraduate student in Duke university's Pratt School of Engineering. At the moment, I am considering a BME major with a possible Global Health minor, but I am still looking into my options. I am from York, Pennsylvania and recently graduated from York Suburban High School.

Name Pronunciation

My name is pronounced pretty much phonetically. My first name is Par-ker and said exactly how it is spelled. My last name is hyphenated and the first portion is Fair-cloth, fair said like the carnival attraction and cloth said like the material. The second part of my last name is Henise, pronounced Hen-eyes, the first part said like the bird (hen) and the second syllable pronounced like eyes.

MATLAB Demonstration

My favorite MATLAB demonstration is about representing Earth's Topography. There is already a loaded file on MATLAB called topo.mat in which you can input data for the altitude. This is my favorite demonstration because with it you can create a contour plot, a 2-D image plot, and a 3-D plot. This is very interesting to me because I think the ability to create the Earth's topography with this accuracy is very interesting.
