Interests
I am interested in a variety of things, such as reading, kayaking, and finding ways to antagonize others.
MATLAB Demonstration
My favorite MATLAB demonstration was "Earth's Topography," which was listed under the Graphics section of the examples page. It was interesting to see how the programmer achieved a globe that was topographically correct. The programmer first started out by outlining Earth's land and then began to write code which added detail. He/she then constructed a 2D plot of the Earth, and then transferred to a map with correct elevations. To see how such a cool program is written is incredibly interesting.
