Grand Challenges for Engineering
This is an interesting article about reverse engineering the brain. [http://spectrum.ieee.org/biomedical/ethics/reverse-engineering-the-brain}, Sally Adee, IEEE Spectrum, updated 1 June 2008, accessed 13 September 2015
Matlab Demo
My favorite Matlab demo was the penny demo. It showed you several ways to view in a penny in the program, but each of the methods gave a very different representation of the penny. The program gives you information that viewing a penny in real life could not. For example, one of the methods allowed you to see a contour graph of the penny so you could potentially measure the depth and slope of different parts of the penny. Several other views allowed you to alter the coloring of the penny to emphasize various aspects of the penny. Overall, this is a very useful feature.
