About Me

I am a student in the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University. I am in the graduating class of 2015. My prospective major is Biomedical Engineering, but I would like to take a second major in philosophy as well. I hope to eventually make a career in biotechnology research.

My Name

My name is Kyle Berner. My last name is prounced exactly like the burner on a stove.

Other Interests

I like theater and acting in general, especially comedy. I'm also a big music fan, and I like a wide variety of genres. I also like to debate and read.

Origins

I am from a relatively small town in New York State, approximately three hours west from New York City. Before now, I have not moved at all in my life and so this is the first new home I have had. It's warmer here.

My Favorite Demo

My favorite demo was definitely the Earth's Topography one, as it had the coolest graphics of all of them.

Grand Challenges

Solar power is a largely untapped resource for humankind, but efforts are underway to change that.
