About Me

My name is Jihong Lee and I am currently a freshman at Duke University. I am an international student from South Korea so being at Duke is a very new experience. I am planning to major in Biomedical Engineering and thinking of the possibility of being pre-med. I am excited to begin my journey at Duke.

I love to play sports and play the piano. I am also an animal person - I love dogs, especially big ones like gold retrievers. I really want to travel around the world and experience different culture. The one place I would love to visit is Bora Bora.

Favorite MATLAB demonstration

I really enjoyed the "Viewing a Penny" demonstration. It was very interesting to learn that MATLAB could draw more than 2-D and 3-D plots. I liked this the best because it showed the different types of drawings that MATLAB could do with just a file of a penny. I especially liked the information about how to draw a surface plot with a colormap. I didn't know that MATLAB could take a picture and make a 3-D surface plot with the right color and size.
