About Me

Hi! My name is Jack Ellwood, and I am currently a freshman in the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University. As of now, I hope to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and I'm also interested in taking classes in writing and philosophy while at Duke and potentially minoring in either of those. I'm from Long Island, New York, and in my free time, I like to read, run, and play video games. I'm also a member of Duke Club Running.

Favorite MATLAB Demo

"Earth's Topography" was my favorite MATLAB Demo, mainly because it shows MATLAB's ability to create 3-D images, which seems like an incredibly valuable tool. I also found it interesting how the program was able to take a 2-D map of Earth and superimpose it on a sphere to create the globe.
