My name is Gavin Ovsak (pronounced Oh-Shock) and I'm from Hopkins, MN.

I'm double majoring in BME and CS because I really want to empower people around the world with technology and I feel like CS and BME have the most cutting edge technology that has the potential to have the greatest impact on people's lives.

Grand Challenge Article

I am interested in many of the grand challenges and they remind me of the millennium development goals that the united nations put together in 2000. THis article that I found discusses how the key to solving all of them is to support innovation by small groups of people and giving them the tools to bring their ideas to the market. Matlab Demo

My favorite Matlab demo was the visualization of the inverse of a matrix. Inverses of matrices have been difficult for me to understand and a visual method clicked better in my head.
