Christopher Lu

Born on May 1,1996 in the Evergreen Hospital at Bothell, WA, Christopher's parents always knew there was something special about their son. They decided to have their son start the piano at the age of 5. He has been playing ever since and has excelled at it, impressing piano judges and chicks alike. He was also special enough to attend the wonderful Duke University in Durham, NC where he has just finished surviving the first three weeks of college with the help of the Chick-Fil-A conveniently located under the Duke Clinic.#GOPEGRAM

Name Pronounciation

It sounds like Christopher Columbus without the Columbus but with the Lu. Lu sounds like Loooooooooooooooo or the British word for bathroom.

MATLAB Demonstrations

I found most of the MATLAB demonstrations very interesting, but the one I found the coolest was probably the one about the Loma Prieta Earthquake. I just thought it was so cool that the culmination of simple variables defined with rather simple equations could culminate together and display the data of a natural event. What I found even cooler was that MATLAB could look at different aspects of the earthquake by simply deriving the information from the orignial data e.g. find the accleration, velocity, and displacement in 3-dimensiosns of a point during the earthquake.
