Engineering Grand Challenge
My favorite Grand Challenge is the mission to Advance Personalized Learning. If we can develop the methods we use to teach our next generations so they can learn faster and more effectively then, theoretically, they will be able to bring humanity to an even grander point of development. While there are several key projects in development that are working to personalize the process of learning, one of the most forward thinking of these is that of Luis von Ahn. He has built a web and mobile platform called Duolingo that is attempting to revolutionize learning a second language.
