Matlab Demos

I really liked the earth's topography demo. The demo begins with a contour graph of the earth in a 2D plot. Subsequently, matlab adds elevation to the contour of the 2D plot. Finally, the earth is graph in a 3D plot that also incorporates the elevation shown in the previous 2D plot .

This demonstration caught my attention because I think it is really cool to graph basically anything -in this case the earth- with just a bunch of data. What I liked the most about this demo is that it shows interesting ways to use Matlab to graph. For instance, you can add elevation to a graph and assign colors to its regions. You can choose to use 2D plots or 3D depending on what you want to show without affecting the main concept of your work. Or, you can start building a theoretically complex graph, such as the earth's 3D map, from just a seemingly basic idea - in this case from a contour.

I also liked the Minesweeper game, I had no idea matlab could do something like this!
