Hi! This is Katherine Livingston's page! [1], Fred Hapgood, MIT: Technology Review, Tuesday, July 11 2006, 16 September 2011 (Grand Challenge)

How to pronounce my name

KATH-ruhn LIH-ving-stuhn

My favorite demonstration

My favorite demonstration was "Traveling Salesman" because I enjoyed watching the animation. The demonstration determined the shortest distance a traveling salesman should travel for a given number of cities they will market at. On the demo, I could see the program testing different paths and then determining the shortest distance the salesman should travel. It was also interesting to input different amounts of cities and watching MATLAB demonstrate the different path possibilities.
