Christopher Shin

About Me

My name is Christopher Shin (but call me Chris). I am a current freshman in Pratt. My intended Majors are Electrical and Computer Engineering and Computer Science.

Early Childhood

Christopher was born in Seoul, Korea to Korean American parents before moving to American at the age of 6. He grew up in a suburb near Seattle starting in 1st grade, where he made the majority of his friends and met most of his peers.

Hobbies

Chris likes skiing, learning new things, and doing anything outside. He swam varsity for four years in high school, and was heavily involved in his school's drumline and percussion ensemble. He enjoys being healthy (as in not sick) and sleeping in late.

Grand Challenge

UN in call for basic sanitation, BBC, updated 17 July 2008, accessed 15 August 2008 (Provide access to clean water)

Favorite MATLAB Demonstration

My favorite MATLAB demonstration is the RunButterfly.m demonstration! It was really useful in developing my skills in MATLAB, and it made a cool product (a graph of a butterfly).
