Favorite Demonstration

The MATLAB demonstration "Viewing a Penny" was my favorite because it went through the commands to turn a 2-dimensional plot of the surface of a penny into different shaded and 3-dimensional images . By drawing a pseudocolor plot with a colormap, you can produce an image that looks like a photograph of a penny. This was very interesting to me because I have a personal interest in art and graphic design. This demonstration shows how to use the same contour plot of a penny in different ways to create realistic images with MATLAB.
