About Me

I am an undergrad majoring in Environmental Engineering. I am currently a member and an executive officer for Duke Engineers for International Development (DEID) as well as a member of the Environmental Alliance. I am also a TA for EGR 103.

Interests/Hobbies

Outside of academia, I enjoy the following

  • Camping
  • Rock Climbing
  • Crocheting
  • Origami
  • Photography

Grand Challenges

This is an article I found about the grand challenge "providing access to clean drinking water."

Biological approaches for addressing the grand challenge of providing access to clean drinking water Mark R. Riley Charles P. Gerba and Menachem Elimelech, NCBI, created March 31, 2011, accessed September 14, 2014 (Grand Challenge)

Matlab Demonstrations

I particularly enjoyed the demonstration entitled "3-D Drawing" because it created an interactive way of demonstrating the single variable calculus technique of rotating a curve about an access to create a three dimensional surface. I was impressed by how any curve that could possibly be drawn could be rendered a 3D object by this program.
