Hi everyone,

My name is Ruby and I'm a Duke student currently planning to major in Civil and Environmental Engineering, minor in Japanese and get a certificate in Economics- a very tentative and ambitious plan, but a plan nevertheless! Below is a link to an article about two solar plants planted in California, a relevant topic for my major, and also one I posted for my first homework assignment. Enjoy!

Homework 2

My favorite demo in MATLAB was the "Visualizing Data with MATLAB" because it was the first time I was exposed to any kind of program associated with 3D graphic design. I've seen these computer based 3D graphs all the time in movies, my statistics class, MRI results, and various places and always thought of them to be very sophisticated forms of technology so it was very exciting to know that I could potentially create my own 3D graph if I wanted to. Even though the video was basically a slideshow of the different types and forms of 3D graphics Matlab can produce, it was still fascinating to see the variety of possibilities.
