Most of the demos were very interesting. My favorite demo was the Loma Prieta Earthquake demo. It showed that engineering is tremendously linked with the real world, and demonstrated the power of computer programming and engineering tools in describing complex phenomenon in very accurate and detailed ways. I was astounded by the level of detail that could be relayed concerning the behavior caused by the earthquake, such as the ability to show the acceleration of a single point during a one second period.

MatLab Demos

Most of the demos were very interesting. My favorite demo was the Loma Prieta Earthquake demo. It showed that engineering is tremendously linked with the real world, and demonstrated the power of computer programming and engineering tools in describing complex phenomenon in very accurate and detailed ways. I was astounded by the level of detail that could be relayed concerning the behavior caused by the earthquake, such as the ability to show the acceleration of a single point during a one second period.
