Matlab Demo:  My favorite matlab demo was the 3D knot.  I chose this demo mostly because of my interest in rock climbing.  Rock climbing in general requires tying lots of knots, and thus I have developed an interest in different types and uses of knots.  Also, I liked how the demo showed how to render a 3D image using only two-dimensional functions.
