My favorite was 3-D plots in the Graphics tab. I liked how there were built-in functions that make 3-D figures look so real. There were so many ways to color each segment of those intricate graphs, and the labels that were automatically done by MATLAB made everything so much easier to see.

About Me

I am a freshman currently enrolled in Trinity College, majoring in economics. I recall myself on the first day of class, having the temerity to assert that I am taking EGR 53 just for kicks, but after the first three weeks filled with ultimate horror of EGR labs, I am starting to realize that this could potentially turn out to be a grave mistake.

To be serious, though, I decided to take this class mainly because I thought programming (especially using MATLAB) will come in handy when I pursue my goals in the long-run, whether it be doing research on economics or just working at a company, even if they are not directly tied with engineering.

I will try my best not to let myself regret making this decision, and in reverse, try to make the most out of this class.

Name Pronunciation

Hopefully my English Name "Sean" is straightforward. My Korean name, "Suk Hyun," on the other hand, can be tricky. It sounds something along the lines of "SUCK-Hyon." One thing to keep in mind is that you should never pronounce this first syllabus of my name as you would when you curse people, i.e., "you SUCK." The pronunciation of the letter "s" is a lot gentler than that, and when done correctly, it should not resemble anything like the word that is commonly associated with profanity.
