My Favorite MATLAB Demonstration

Viewing a Penny Demo

While browsing through the various demonstrations in MATLAB's help section, I stumbled across the demo "Viewing a Penny." In particular, I found this tutorial to be fascinating since MATLAB was able to create a realistic-looking image from just a small amount of code. It showed that MATLAB was able to load a PENNY.MAT file, produce a colored contour map of a penny, and even create a pseudocolor plot of a penny. I got to see that MATLAB could perform many graphical tasks that I did not think were possible, especially with the few amount of code it used. This program was able to output very detailed images of a penny with different plot styles, which I really enjoyed learning about.
