About Me

I am a freshman undergraduate at Duke University planning to major in Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Name Pronunciation

The name "Robert" sounds like how most Americans would pronounce it. "Gitau" is pronounced the way it looks separated as "GI-tau", with a hard "G". The "-tau" sounds exactly like the Greek letter Tau. Or, if you prefer, "-au" rhymes with "ow" as in "Ow, my leg!"

Current Courses

As of Fall 2015 I am taking:

  • EGR 103: Computational Methods in Engineering
  • Writing 101: Consuming African Cities
  • MATH 212: Multivariable Calculus
  • Japanese 101
