About Me
I'm Alex Mariakakis. I've been in North Carolina for all my life, living in Chapel Hill and working in Durham, so I know a thing or two about the area. Since I lived in Chapel Hill, people have always wondered why I chose to be a Duke fan. My mom went to Duke, while my dad went to UNC; nevertheless, my mom has always been a bigger basketball fan than my dad, so I ended up rooting for the Blue Devils.
My strange last name is one of the many indicators that I am Greek. Sometimes, I'll wear a Greek soccer jersey around campus or carry around Greek food (since it's delicious!).
