Matlab's ability to visually model complex problems fascinates me.  Specifically, the demonstration "Game of Life" models a cellular environment in a 2 demential universe.  This is my favorite demonstration because this models a biological process in a randomized manner using relatively simple code.  By coding with sparse matrices a complex idea becomes a relatively simple calculation.

About Me

I am currently a udecided freshman at Duke University. While I'm interested in both mecahnical and biomedical engineering, I can't seem to make up my mind.

Current Courses

I am taking 5 courses this fall. 1) Engineering 103 2) Math 111 3) Chemistry 101 4) Religion 155 5) Naval Science 101

Favorite Matlab Demonstration

Matlab's ability to visually model complex problems fascinates me. Specifically, the demonstration "Game of Life" models a cellular environment in a 2 demential universe. This is my favorite demonstration because this models a biological process in a randomized manner using relatively simple code. By coding with sparse matrices a complex idea becomes a relatively simple calculation.
