My favorite was the 3-D Surface Plots demonstration because it allowed me a lot of control over the appearance of each 3-D graph.  I have never graphed in three dimensions before and I enjoyed experimenting with the many functions, like color and number of peaks.  I am thankful to now have a better grasp on how 3-D graphing works.

About Me

My name is Mikayla Wickman and I am a freshman in the Duke University Class of 2015. I am enrolled in the Pratt School of Engineering and intend to major in Mechanical Engineering. I am originally from Orange County, California.

Name Pronunciation

My first name is pronounced Mih-KAY-luh (as opposed to Muh-KAY-luh and Mah-KAY-luh). My last name is pronounced WICK-man, which ends up sounding more like WICK-mn when said aloud.

My Favorite Demonstration

My favorite was the 3-D Surface Plots demonstration because it allowed me a lot of control over the appearance of each 3-D graph. I have never graphed in three dimensions before and I enjoyed experimenting with the many functions, like color and number of peaks. I am thankful to now have a better grasp on how 3-D graphing works.
