My favorite demonstration was Traveling Salesman. As the designated map reader of the car since childhood, I have been fascinated and relieved by the existence of sites like MapQuest and Google Maps. This example not only demonstrated the ability of MATLAB to create a self-improving closed circuit but also demystified the basics of how direction-calculating software works.
