Name Pronounciation
The first 'e' was not put in my name for kicks and giggles - it alters the prononciation from 'Kirsten.' My name is pronounced KEYR-sten.
About Me
I am a member of the class of 2018. I was born in Ontario, Canada but raised in Nashville, Tennessee. I moved down South when I was a wee little tyke, so I do not remember anything from my family's Ontarian home. My family consists of my mom and dad, one younger brother, two older brothers, and my Bernese Mountain dog.
Interests
Currently, my intended major is biomedical engineering, but that is subject to change. There are so many different careers that I find interesting from being a BME to a pathologist to a neurologist.
I am a member of the Duke Track and Field team and Duke PAWS.
Halloween is my favorite holiday apart from Christmas.

Favorite Demonstration
Out of all the demonstrations I viewed, I enjoyed the MineSweeper demonstration the most. I used to play that game all the time when I was little, and I never understood how it worked until recently. It is very cool that a script in MATLAB, with the use of matrices, could create that game. Because the game is so simple, I thought the script would have been shorter. It was interesting to me that MineSweeper seemed to have more coding than most of the other examples.
