Background

I was born in Austin Texas, May 30, 1995. In 1996, I moved back to South Korea and spent 14 years up until middle school. I came back to States in 2008, when I was an 8th grader. I graduated from Memorial Middle School in Houston Texas. I entered a private boarding school in Austin called St. Stephen's Episcopal School in 2009, and finally graduated high school in 2013.

Courses

I am currently taking 4 courses:

  • EGR 103: computational Methods in Engineering
  • CHEM110: Applications of general Chemistry
  • MAH212: Multivariable Analysis

Things I like

  • I like dogs. I had one dog for five years but I had to hand him over to someone else when I moved to Houston.
  • I like riding bicycle, but I can't do mountain-biking
  • I like Chinese food and I love bubble tea
  • I like teal color.

More About Myself

I attend Duke University and I'm in Pratt school of Engineering. I am planning on majoring in Biomedical Engineering I live in Alspaugh: 1344 Campus Dr. 27708 Durham, North Carolina.

MATLAB Demonstration

All the demonstrations on help section of MATLAB including Earth topography, 3-D graphs, and Game of life were so interesting and made me so eager to learn how to do all those applications using MATLAB. However, my favorite demonstration was Viewing a penny. It was so interesting how we could generate a penny using contour graph. Also it struck me how simple the command was to draw somewhat complicated graphs. Moreover, the variations of graph added more amusement to it. My favorite version of penny-graph was pseudocolor plot because it most resembled the real photograph of a penny. I would have never imagined that math could be used to generate such a photographic plot.
