The Game of Life was incredible. It showed a two dimensional representation of cells dying or living depending on whether or not their neighbors were alive. Furthermore, the description stated that the calculations were simple because they used matrices. I never knew matrices could do that! In addition, the animation was excellent and everything seemed to be an orderly chaos, if that made any sense.
Overall, I felt really excited when I looked at all the cells forming and growing. My affinity for biology was one of the reasons why I wanted to become a biomedical engineer. When I saw how I could apply math and program to study cells through Matlab, I was glad that I chose this major.
