Optimal Fit of a Nonlinear Function: Given a nonlinear parameter and the data, there is a command called FITFUN that calculates the error in the fit for the equation and updates the line. This is useful for creating a best fit line for a set of data points. I think it's interesting how MATLAB can be used to do more than simply plot a set of points.
