Engineer Better Medicines
Cancer is the second leading cause of deaths globally. The WHO estimated 9.6 million deaths due to cancer in 2018. Researchers from a group called PCAWG recently released genomic analysis of 38 different types of cancer. These maps will help the medical community better understand the genetic component of cancer, which is essential to develop effective treatments.
