About Me

I am a freshman at Duke University in the Pratt School of Engineering. I am originally from Lemoore, California, but have lived in Virginia Beach, Virginia for the last 8 or 9 years.

Name Pronunciation

My name is pronouned "NAY-then LUHK-sick". "Luksik" just sounds like saying the words "luck" and "sick", and everyone can pronounce "Nathan".

Current Courses

This semester I am in EGR103, Math 122, Chem 101, and Philosophy 101.

Grand Challenges for Engineering

Scientists may have solved a key barrier to fusion power, Swapna Kishna, Engadget, 21 June 2017, accessed 21 September 2017 (Nuclear fusion)

MATLAB Demo Favorite

My favorite MATLAB demo game was Traveling Salesman because, while it was not the most interactive demo, I was astonished at how useful it was. These types of optimization problems are found all around us in everyday life, whether we realize it or not. It is quite beneficial to have a code like this instead of doing a ton of calc optimization problems, especially in a situation that involves minimizing expenditures.
