My favorite demonstration was the 'Functions of Complex Variables' under the 'Graphics' section.  Visualizing multi-dimensional plots is very challenging, and it was interesting to see how equations that at first may seem simple, such as f(z)=1/z, have complicated graphs.  I also enjoyed seeing plots of complicated functions, such as f(z)=atan(2*z), that are fun to look at and have very unique characteristics such as 'branch cut singularities.'

About Me

I am a freshman at Duke University, and also a member of the varsity Men's Soccer team as well. I play defensive center-mid for the Blue Devils. I grew up 10 minutes from Duke in Durham, NC in a household of UNC fans. My sister is currently a senior there, and both my parents attended UNC. I am currently an Electrical and Computer Engineer.

Soccer History

After wearing my cleats and shinguards to my older sister's practice, my parents signed me up for the local soccer team. I fell in love with the game and have a handful of state championships, a national championship, a call-up to the national team camp, and numerous other achievements on the field since then. I hope to see some of you guys at the Duke games!

My Name

My parents named me Dakota after the state North Dakota, which is where my mom's side of the family is from. My grandparents grew up in Grand Forks, ND, a place I have only been a couple of times. However, for some reason, my parents decided call me Cody, which is the name I am most familiar with and the name all of my friends and family at home call me. I like them both so feel free to call me either one, or 'dude', or 'hey you', or 'yo', all are cool with me.
